Did you know that it’s 11 years ago this month that I first went to see a lymphedema therapist? It seems crazy to me that it was that long ago. My goal in making an appointment with a lymphedema therapist again was to see if there were any updates on treatments that I should be doing, or additional supplies or equipment that I could be using to better maintain my condition. Well, my appointment happened last week and it was very informative. I believe I’m going to be changing up some things.
At the beginning of the appointment I answered some questions regarding my history with lymphedema, including my bouts with cellulitis, my decision to wear two compression stockings on one leg, and my current regimen for managing my swelling (i.e. Flexitouch every night).
