Sometimes you just need to lie down and take a break.
I think I am experiencing a little bit of Runner’s Burnout. Ever since my 12-mile run about two weeks ago my motivation and energy to run has waned. I’m a little worried especially because I have the half-marathon in less than six weeks and I refuse to back out. I’m still running but my runs have been slower and shorter than they should be. It has felt more like a chore to run lately than a chance for me to get away. Maybe my body is telling me to take a small break from training to regroup. Or maybe I need to institute my New Year’s resolution to start cross-training.
Any recommendations or advice?
Do I just need to suck it up and keep moving?
